Postal jobs? My mom said that Postal jobs are usually given to veterans of a war or other government officials. Is that true? There's a job listing in the paper for postal jobs and the pay is pretty good and i think i would enjoy the job, but im a 20yr old female so i dont know how good my chances would be at getting the job. Does anyone know what they look for when hiring? This job pays $17-28 hour and right now im only makign 10.50 so i was wanting to get a better paying job because now i have a car payment and i still want to save money

In the classifieds of my local paper there were several ads talking about government jobs, postal workers wanted, etc. They said you can make $18 an hour and up with full benefits... but first you had to pay to get their materials sent to you ($60 to over $200). I didn't work while raising my kids, for about 15 years, so since my divorce for13 years , I have had some pretty bad jobs! Jobs you would get with no college degree, or much experience. some sales, some office work, and a postal job that turned sour. With bad supervisors, who didnt care about there employee's, and would treat them bad, and than fire them when they tried to communicate, that things could be better.
