US Postal Service jobs, how to get them? I'm searching on the USPS website for exam openings and there are hardly none. If there are no exam openings does that mean they are not hiring? The only job opening I see are maintenance positions and temporary positions. How long is the typical temp position? Should I visit a post office and ask them about their openings or is this website recent?

What happens after passing the US Postal Service Exam? I passed the USPS exam a couple of months ago. Then, two weeks ago, I received a letter stating that I can create an online profile through the USPS employment website to apply for jobs because I have passed the exam and I'm in the USPS database. I created a profile online, and I searched for jobs in every category, but only 3 are listed in the entire state of Texas--all of them corporate or sales positions. I passed a carrier exam, and I find it hard to believe that there are no current job openings for carriers in all of Texas! What should I do to apply for a carrier position? The letter I received said that the USPS contacted people in the past for interviews, but they are in the midst of switching to an all-online process now where everyone must apply instead of being contacted. I feel like I'm caught between the old way and new way since it seems they're not posting carrier positions online in my area yet. I may work for the United States Postal Service.? I am thinking about working for the US POSTAL service. I called the toll free number. They advised me that there are positions available. However, I am apprehensive because they asked me for $100 deposit to sign up for a test, and than they will arrange for an interview. Will the US Postal Service Hire me For a Carrier postion if I had my Drivers License for less than 2 YRS? I have a job interview with USPS this week for the position of job Carrier. The interview letter reads "You must possess a valid driver's license w/ two years driving experience." The problem I am having is that I have only had my driver's license for a year and two months; but I had my learner's permit for three yrs before I received my license. Can ANYONE work for the US Postal Service? I saw an ad that said they are hiring for different positions. I'm desperately trying to get a job, and was wondering if I could work at the post office doing something, besides mailman/woman. Why didn't my interviewer ask standard interview questions? I went to an interview for US postal service, "casual mail carrier" position, and the interviewer didn't ask me any questions like "why should we hire you" etc. Only questions the interviewer asked was to clarify some things on my resume. And he hired me right away. Do all US postal service position interviews get conducted in similar manner? Any Advice.....? I just accepted a position with the US Postal Service as a carrier. I am an attractive, petite female and I don't see too many female carriers where I live. I already have a good job making good money and they begged me to stay but everyone told me I would be a fool not to take a Federal Government job with an excellent retiring plan. I have been scammed by a company claiming legitimate data entry/work at home position.? I saw a job posting on jobkabob stating that a company was looking for someone to fill the position of a data entry person that would work from home. Stupid me I should have known, But it required a startup fee of $15.00 and I payed it through paypal then they sent me an e-mail called training materials which is what the $15.00 was for. But it was just an email about how to do the same thing to other people that just happened to me. I tried to get my money back but paypal says they cant give it back due to the terms of service stating they wont give refunds for non-tangible items So I thought about taking this to the IC3.Gov website and reporting the people, But the people that scammed me told me that its completely legal based on the US Postal and Lottery Laws, Title 18, Section 1302 and 1341, or Title 18, Section 3005 in the US code, also in the code of Federal Regulations, Volume 16, Sections 255 and 436, which state a product or service must be exchanged for money rec I cannot contact the US Postal service.
