What is a good free e-mail client with few users? I'm trying to get an email address with just my name, but my name is too common to get one on the big clients (yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc). I hate having numbers in my email address, so does anyone know any sites that offer free e-mail, yet have few enough users that I might be able to get a good email address?
How can get IE7 to use my webmail client instead of outlook when clicking on an "e-mail to" link in a web site When ever I'm in a website and there's an "e-mail me" or "contact us" link and I click on it, Internet Explorer trys to open Outlook to send the e-mail, but I don't use Outlook. I would like to be able to use my web-based yahoo account, but I can't figure out how to get Internet Explorer to use my web-mail account instead of Outlook. I've tried opening "Internet Options" from the control panel, selecting the "Programs" tab, then going to the e-mail to see if I could change it there but the only thre options it gives me are "Microsoft Outlook", "Outlook Express" or "Windows Live Mail." There seems to be no option to ad a web-based e-mail client. I KNOW there is a way to do this because another computer I've worked on that used the exact same browser and version allowed this. I know that I can jus cut and past the link into my web-based e-mail but that's not the point. I also am not interested in hearing about the benefits of FireFox, Safari, or any other browser, thanks I've already tried: Tools - Internet Options - under programs - Email - choose Drop down box. But the drop down box only shows the three options I mentioned above.
How do I set my MSN as my default e-mail client instead of outlook? MSN just stopped working as the default e-mail client for no apparent reason. I uninstalled it and downloaded & installed the newest version. It still won't give the option to be set as the default e-mail application. Outlook asks to become the default app, but that's it.
Which e-mail client is good at handling multiple POP accounts easily? I currently use the Eudora e-mail client for one reason: It's very easy to handle different POP accounts. You can download your mail from many accounts into one inbox, and when you answer e-mails, you can decide from which account, with one click. No annoying switching between user accounts, etc. Unfortunately, Eudora sucks pretty bad in many other regards. So, are there any other e-mail clients out there who are just as good at handling multiple POP accounts, but don't suck otherwise?
Where can I find an online e-mail client? I have multiple e-mail accounts (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) and I would like to be able to read and write e-mail on a client. However, I do not want to download a client. Is there an online e-mail client that I might be able to use?
How can i chat within hotmail e-mail client? I have got my self a hotmail mail id registered as '______@hotmail.com'. So is it possible for me to chat within the hotmail e-mail client as we do in Yahoo mail and G-mail? Or is there any other way to chat without downloading the msn live?
How can I send HTML form results without using the e-mail client? I'd like to learn how to be able to save the information from a HTML form, but I don't want my site visitors to have to click "submit" and then re-submit the info in an e-mail. Are there any ways to bypass this? Are there other ways to save the results (without e-mail)?

Can I check my GMail account using my SBCGlobal.net account without using an e-mail Client? I do not use an e-mail client. I would like to be able to have my SBCGlobal.net e-mail address automatically retrieve messages (and place them in a folder) from my GMail e-mail address. I have enable POP in my GMail account, and I have added the GMail e-mail address in my SBCGlobal.net "Mail Accounts" settings. I CAN correctly send messages, however, I receive an error when trying to retrieve messages.

If the business partner discloses the messge to anyone else, the privilege between the lawyer and client will be waived. c. the message reamins privileged, because it wasn't posted to a listserv where many unknown third parties could read it. d. lawyer-client privilege is lost, because the communication is no longer a secret between lawyer and client.

What's the best e-mail client? Pretty simple =) Of all the e-mail clients which do you think is the best? (yahoo, optonline, g-mail, netscape, aim/aol, bat!) Clients and servers than for those of you who want to be fresh, including thunderbird, seamonkey, and outlook. sorry correction then*
How do you turn off deleting e-mail from the server in Microsoft Outlook? My boss wants me to be able to see all my e-mails on the server (even when I don't have my laptop) by accessing the server from any remote comuter. In other words, even if I've already opened my e-mail client (and downloaded all of the e-mails), he wants me to set up Outlook to NOT delete any of them from the mail server.
Is it better to run a CLIENT BASED e-mail account (THUNDERBIRD) than ANY direct online service ? Hi, I am curious about client based e-mail accounts in this case Thunderbird from Mozilla. What are the benefits? According to what I know the client based accounts save the info your computer as well as in your servers? Why not just go to the on line accounts directly? Perhaps I think this way because I am always connected to the Internet so I don't see why the client based would be of any use. What would you recommend?
How do I set Yahoo! Mail as my default E-Mail client! (LONG)!!!? I am running Windows Vista Home Premium using Messenger version 9, although I have tried installing previous versions of 8.X from oldversion.com and those versions are also giving me the same trouble)! But let's stick to 9 as that is the version I'm using now... I finally got a reply back from Yahoo technical support regarding this missing "Yahoo Browser Services" application. They said they are no longer including this in any version of messenger and in order to make Yahoo! Mail your default E-mail client on your computer, you must include "install toolbar" when you install messenger (apparently the toolbar now has a Yahoo! Mail default E-Mail client setting in it)...notice that I said "APPARENTLY"! However when including the toolbar in the messenger installation it does not actually install any kind of Yahoo! Mail plugin. After installation I attempted to verify if my default E-Mail client had been changed by going to the default programs section in Windows Vista and sure enough, Yahoo! Mail was NOT listed (in ANY of the sections/catagories)! I then uninstalled the toolbar and reinstalled it via toolbar.yahoo.com and this time the installation works (during the installation it asks you if you want to install the Yahoo! Mail plugin to make Yahoo! Mail your default E-Mail client). Finally I thought I had found out how to get this installed correctly (but not quite)! Before I get into that let's address how the toolbar that is part of the messenger installation is NOT installing the mail plugin like the technical support guy told me it would. Only if you install the toolbar seperately from messenger by going to toolbar.yahoo.com does it then install this mail plugin! All of these problems that I 've currently noted so far (in this post and the previous post that I have linked here above) clearly demonstrates that Yahoo has NO CLUE what they are doing! OK so now I finally have this "mail plugin" installed and I'm thinking great now I can finally use mailto: links on the internet (as I had previously been doing using previous versions of messenger (before 9.0 they all included the "Yahoo Browser Services" plugin/installation). Well once again I was proven WRONG! Before I tested out to see if it now worked I went to the default programs section once again in Vista (under the control panel). Under "associate a file type or protocol with a program" I scroll down to the "protocols" section and for the "mailto:" it now shows that Yahoo! Mail is set as the default E-Mail client HOWEVER the icon that is used is NOT the offical "Yahoo! Mail" icon, instead it's some tiny square icon with a tiny picture of what appears to be a picture of two 'gears' inside the icon box (right there a red flag went up with me)! Anyways keeping the "mailto:" protocol highlighted I then click on "change program" at the top of the window. When this window opens up, it clearly shows Yahoo! Mail (WITH THE CORRECT YAHOO! MAIL ICON-mailbox with a "Y" over it) as one of my default choices for E-mail, along with Windows Mail. I click on the Yahoo! Mail icon however that doesn't seem to change the icon back in the main display, it continues to show a pictured icon with two tiny pictures of 'gears' inside it. To make a long story short (and I'm really sorry for the legnth of this but this is clearly Yahoo's problem and fault) I'm only now 50 percent closer to being able to use "mailto" links correctly with Yahoo! Mail on the internet. When I now click on a "mailto" links on a webpage, a "internet explorer security" window pops up (yellow banner at the top) and it informs me that "windows host process (rundll32)" wants to access the internet and the publisher is Microsoft! There is a check box at the bottom of this popup window "do not show me the warning for this program again" however the check box is greyed out and I can't place a check mark in it! Anyways clicking on "allow" for the secuirty window then loads up Yahoo! Mail! So basically now anytime I want to use a "mailto: link on the net, I have to go through this damn "internet explorer security" window to get to Yahoo! Mail and it's EXTREMELY annoying!!! If I go into the "security" tab for IE (sorry but I don't use other browsers) and I uncheck the "protected mode" option at the bottom of the screen, when clicking on "mailto" links on web pages it then takes me straight to Yahoo! Mail with no inturruption of that security window popping up...however being out of "protected mode" is making my computer to be more unsafe...that is not 'flying' with me at al! To end this, there is obvioulsy a HUGE flaw in Yahoo's program and it's clearly NOT WORKING RIGHT! I have Googled this problem and I can't find any solution to fix this (without compromising my computer's security). I'm begging anyone...CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME HERE TO GET THIS FIXED? Yahoo is clearly 'out of the loop' on this and either have no idea what is going on with their own software, or they want to act a Yahoo cut me off with my post, there was more at the end but apparently they have a character c ount (thanks for telling us that ahead of time Yahoo!) You just keep sending in the 'punches' to everyone, don't ya?
I am trying to set up my e-mail client (incredimail) to receive all my e-mail.? I have four e-mail addresses and all work except yahoo, I get an invalid user id/password error message but they are correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help. I receive my alltel, hotmail, gmail e-mail accounts ok but my yahoo e-mail account gives me and error of bad user id or password even though they are correct. The same id and password work fine when I go to yahoo direct to get my e-mail. Something in yahoo not letting me in when I use this method of getting all my e-mail through one source.
Why is Thunderbird (e-mail client) not working? Hello! I set up my Thunderbird after... months, years?... of non-use, and it worked fine... for about a week. I can still view emails, and it updates regularly, but I can't send e-mails from it. The error message reads: "Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server imap.aim.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your SMTP server setting is correct and try again, or else contact your network administrator." I use AIM's e-mail service... are they making this outsourcing to Thunderbird or Outlook a paid service like Yahoo did now? Any help, WHATSOEVER that you can offer would be FANTASTIC. Thanks! By the way, Thunderbird is like Microsoft Outlook, only it's a Mozilla open-source... thingie. Thunderbird is to Outlook like Firefox is to Internet Explorer. It worked well sending messages for about a week.
I get mailer-daemon reply but client receives e-mail from other sources. Why? One week ago I successfully e-mailed my client. Yesterday (10/16) I received several mailer-daemon replys when replying to an email client sent to me. She checked her email for the day and was receiving from other sources. She e-mailed me today (10/17) again and when I tried to reply, mailer-daemon replied. I do not have this problem with my other clients. What's up??
What is the best e-mail application for Mac OS X? Currently I use the e-mail client in Netscape 7.2. It seems somewhat dated, but it's what I've used for years. On my Mac I also have Mail (that comes with OS X) and Entourage (which comes with Microsoft Office). Both of them seem more advanced than Netscape. So I think it's time to switch. Also, I have downloaded Netscape 9 beta, and once the real version is released I will probably ditch 7.2 anyway. Any advice is appreciated.
Are there any good e-mail clients that sync between multiple computers? I am not a big fan of webbased e-mails as an old school users I still like e-mail clients, using multiple pop servers. But between work, home, and laptop I would really like to sync my clients (including sent mail folders) so I don't have to remember what client I picked up a file on, or don't have to leave files on the server for ever. Thunderbird (my current favorite) plans on adding this feature, but was hoping someone knows of a client out there that does it already thank you in advance.
how do i insert an image into an e-mail using javascript? I am creating an e-card site for a class project and want the e-cards to be e-mailable (using the person's default e-mail client). I am able to get the new e-mail to open with the subject and text pulled in to the e-mail; however, the image link ends up in the e-mail instead of the actual image. I am looking for a way for the actual image to get pulled into the new e-mail.
E-mail client vertical slide bar stuck!? Hi all, The vertical slide bar separating the e-mail folders from the e-mail list moved (for a reason) towards the middle and got stuck. I can't move it back. It should be as easy as dragging it back to its place but it doesn't budge. What am I missing? Am I a victim of AJAX :)? Thanks for your help! By the way, I'm using broadband and I just think that there's something wrong with the slider control. I don't think that the traffic or the bandwidth has anything to do with it...
