Should you not use a free web based email for business? I have a small side business, should I not use a free email such as Yahoo, Hotmail, etc for my business email...meaning that it does not sound "professional" to say something like yourbusinessname@yahoo, etc.?? Or does it really matter, I really don't want to pay for a fancy domain email. Any thoughts??
What is the best free web based email service for business? I have just formed a business with a close friend of mine and are looking for the best email service that will look formal and might have an online calender included in the service that we can both see and keep up to date with situations. Thanks

What is the best free web based email for seniors? I'm looking for something my grandma can use. She had been using mail.com, but their new 'upgrade' is a pain in the neck, and she needs something more user friendly. Something with minimal clutter, that goes right to the inbox when you sign in, has a very visible 'compose' button for new emails, no email preview/split screen or anything fancy... kind of like yahoo! beta (from what I've seen) only with less monitoring of emails. I'm leaning towards gmail but the google search bar at the top of the page might confuse things a bit... Also a more visible sign out button might be better. Are there any free web based email providers geared towards seniors? PawPawMail is the cheapest I've seen, but (it's not free) it's a little over the top in some ways... For example, she doesn't need an assistant to monitor her inbox, just a more friendly interface so she can find the right button without it getting lost in a jumble of extraneous crap. She's not senile, just not computer literate and kind of intimidated. Any suggestions? The problem with hotmail and yahoo is that they don't go directly to the inbox... she'd like something that does. She is really intimidated by computers. Gmail would work, but she wouldn't sign off because the button isn't visible, and the search bar at the top of the page would be a problem. I'm looking for something geared specifically towards seniors or the computer illiterate, but don't know if there is something that's free. Thanks for the suggestion though! That's useful, I'll look for that! The main thing though, is the search bar. I had to get rid of the avg toolbar already because she's prone to getting the things on the top left/center of the screen confused with the address bar... while she can pick the first one of the search results and get to where she wants to go eventually anyway, it ends up being a more stressful experience that makes her want to avoid the computer later. Gmail is in the lead so far... I was just hoping to find something that is to email what the jitterbug is to cell phones, for lack of a better explanation. Looks like animail is free, but there isn't a whole lot of information about the interface, except for the phone app... I'll keep looking though. Maybe make a throwaway email address to check it out. Thanks!
A Free not web based email? A free, NONE WEB BASED email, that anyone can send me emails thru? from any email source, they can send me emails, can I them. Please help me. Thank ya so much!!! Just for normal email. To send and receive stuff.
What is the best free web based email to use to apply for jobs? I was wondering, in your opinion, based on personal experience, what is the best web based email client for applying for jobs. The best have to have the following (to be chosen): - be accessible anywhere including the library where you can't install Outlook - have no signature so that if you email your resume, your resume won't have a link advertisement at the bottom because it was on the bottom of the email - is a well known trustworthy name that won't likely be put into the employers spam box - loads fast and allows for text only emails to be sent and received.
free web based email client? Can anyone recommend a user friendly email client for a small business? I work out of several offices and need to access emails from any computer. I dont think I'm being overly fussy with functionality, basically I need it to be able to create folders and sub-folders for easy storage of mail, display the from address as my business email (not "sent on behalf of") and automatically put in my business signature regardless of what email address I am using as the from address. GMX is ok - but cant set my email address as default "from" address and can only have a signature attached to the @gmx address. Which is really annoying having to remember to change the from address and copy and paste my signature every time I send an email. Gmail was pretty good, but when you reply it wants to put your reply at the bottom of the conversation not the top and that cant be changed (according to them) and also sends email from the @gmail address and says "on behalf of ...." The client provided for webmail by the people who host my website was by comparison not too bad. I originally started trying others because it was REALLY slow and unresponsive, doesn't allow you to create sub-folders in email storage or put contacts into groups (that was the worst part, I keep forgetting people when emailing a group!). Maybe I am asking too much of a free client! Any suggestions? Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read and respond!
Can a hacker change the body of web-based emails? Is it possible for someone to hack into your web-based free email account and change the body of an email you have received in your Inbox earlier? And no, I'm not looking for hacking tips. Lol.... It's just that I've felt recently that some of my old emails appear slightly different in their contents than what I seemed to remember when I read them for the first time a year ago.
Apart from Yahoo, Hotmail & Gmail, what alternative free web based email facilities exist? I’m really fed up with Yahoo mail. For more than a week now I’m not able to respond to emails. Every time I press send I either get “page cannot be displayed” or “error 999”. I can only respond by initiating a completely new email and even that doesn’t work if I copy and paste the original email text (to which I would like to respond) into the new email. I’m also annoyed with Yahoo because there is no setting where only people in your contact list can send you email. My spam problem would be sorted completely by simply applying such a setting. As much as I despise Hotmail, at least they have that facility.
What web-based email provider is easiest to teach to beginners? I've taught a very basic, introductory class for internet and email beginners a few times using Yahoo! email as the basis for my class. I've been an avid Yahoo! email user myself for over 10 years, but it doesn't seem to be the best choice for absolute beginning emailers (many of the students are seniors and people who've never used email before at all). What free, web-based email provider would you suggest for instructing an introductory class? Also, what makes the provider easy to use for beginners?
web based email that lets you use subfolders? I'm looking for a web based email account, that is free, and that lets you use subfolders. I've used yahoo for ages but it is not really suitable. It needs to be web based because I travel and don't always have the same computer, so outlook is no good. Does anyone know of a good one? Thank you! When I say subfolders I mean, say I create a folder called "friends" and then inside that folder i want to create folders for each friend. but as far as i can tell yahoo only lets you create folders on one level. if i'm wrong i'd love to know! thanks for your answers everyone :)
how do i avoid the problem with 'do not accept registration from free web based emails?'? they say that this is an attempt to minimize spam. so they do have option to send your email then they will manually add it to the forum so i can access a free tool. since i have yahoo email plus, it is not a free account, i paid for it. i thought i that there is a way to 'disguise' my email so that it does not look like and act like a free account. although they say to use a college email or employer email, what is the best way around this issue?
Who offers free email forwarding? Yahoo Mail used to provide free email forwarding, but now they only provide that service to paying customers. Are there any other free web-based email providers that offer free email forwarding? I want to set up a family email address that automatically forwards to each family memeber's personal email.
which web-based email will allow me to send large group emails? hi, i am currently using yahoo to send large group emails but find it a complete pain, as the number of people i want to send to is more than the hourly limit of emails i can send. i also have to send several emails to reach all the people, as it doesn't seem to allow me to send one huge one. which free, web-based mail provider will allow me to send messages to about 300 people at one time? thanks!
Email services which are not web based? Greetings! I need to have an email address without the free web based one. Is there anyway I can get it? Do ISPs give away the email addresses which may involve a reasonable amount of money? Or can anyone suggest where I can open an email address which will not be webbased? I need to pursue to places where they block webbased email addresses. Any help?!
Seeking free or low cost software to help manage web based email (e.g., Yahoo or Gmail)? I have several Yahoo email accounts (and a few gmail, also) for various purposes. The filter service for Yahoo is inadequate. I'm too busy to write the program I need, which would do the following as a minimum: A) Allow me to define powerful search criteria using nested logical expressions or regular expressions to find desired subsets of my mail in various folders; B) Give me the capability to automate the handling or disposition of messages in various ways (e.g., move to folder, delete, pass message to another program, send automated response, return statistics, etc.) Does any Answers user know where to look for such software?
What is the Most Secure Free Email? I'm looking to become more anonymous online. I've learned about encrypting emails but can't find to much about a general safer email client or web based email. Can anyone point me into the right direction?

I'm looking for a completely FREE online fax that will allow me to send/receive faxes and will provide me with my own private fax number and will route the incoming faxes to my email. web based client for mutiple email accounts? hi i have a number of different free email accounts (please dont question why). It becomes painful to remeber all of them (userids and passwords) and keep logging in and out. It demands lot of time moreover i dont want to use a regular email client like ms outlook or outlook express etc or anything which resides on my computer. Now i want to know that is there any web based service which keeps a track of all my email addresses located at different domains and allow me to login using only one password and show me my mail from all the different email addresses of mine. This will help me when i am away from my home computer, i just open one browser window feed in only one login and password and reach all of my mail boxes. Thanx
What is the best free email service with parental controls so kids can email safely? I looked into kol.com but my dd doesn't want that. Gmail doesn't seem to have any parental controls, and aol.com is too cumbersome. Yahoo doesn't seem to have a kids service either ... any other suggestions for web-based kids email with easy to use parental controls? Thank you for all of the parenting advice, but that's not what I was asking. For the record, my dd is 11 and really doesn't need porn in her inbox, or emails from people I don't know.
Web-based third party email forwarding service? I migrated email accounts and want to have stray emails from my old account forwarded to my new one. Unfortunately my old account does not have forwarding services and my new account does not have a collection service (like gmail does). Is there any web-based service (preferably free) that I can have collect mail through imap or pop3 from one mailbox and forward it on to my new mailbox?
Which is better for Email Outlook Express or a web based email? ? I just wondered what the main features are that would make Outlook, Thunderbird or similar Email clients better than using a web based mail alone like yahoo mail or Gmail? Web based mail has so much room for storage and sending/receiving files, I just wondered how I can benefit from using Outlook/similar programs. Also when I do use Outlook (I have just set up for the first time a couple weeks ago) When you get spam mail to the inbox it always appears to open the message when I highlight it for deletion. Will it zap me with a virus by opening the message or isnt it opened because i am using the Email client instead of the web based email??? Also, why is it that Yahoo makes you pay for the plus mail to use Outlook when Gmail allows free access??
I want to send and recieve emails with my own domain email address? Does anyone know a free web based email service that will allow me to send and recieve emails using a different email address, such as me@mydomain.whatever, but is not Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail. Reasons: I find Gmail annoying. Yahoo you have to pay for and I already pay for one premium account and I want to keep it separate. And hotmail doesn't work with the domain registrar setup I'm using. I might not have made it clear that I already have a domain name set up. Thanks for the replies so far. Any further advice would be appreciated.
Looking for a free web based serial number, customer and warranty tracking system? I'm looking for a web based application for tracking products that people have ordered from us. We need something that's web based (php with mysql preferably, or cgi could also work), can track order and shipping dates, multiple serial numbers of the various components and customer contact information (name, address, phone, email). Its for internal use for warranty tracking and contacting customers about updates. And looking for something free/open source as we don't have a budget for this. I have tired several CRM's, none of them have serial number tracking abilities, plus they seem to be overkill, we don't need the account aspect end. Thanks for the assistance!
Will yahoo allow Multiple users on one email account? Small business with virtual office support wants to share one email for improved communications and notifications. Gmail email posts to group not coming through with other individual ones? People with Gmail who email me direct emails come through, but when they post to the group they never come through. I am on individual emails. I have a free web based email address at Goggo.com Yes it is a Yahoo group I am in. Free web based newsletter - creating and distributing site or program? I'm looking for a free software or web site that will let me create a newsletter where I can easily add or delete recipients email addresses and the newsletter is sent in HTML format. Something simple, but easy to use. Preferably with design and send features, but I could create it myself in HTML if I had to. Do not say use MS publisher and email it with outlook - that is NOT what I am looking for. Any sites or software you know of? Aweber looks good, but it's not free. I'm not having many users at this stage, so it's not worth the cost yet. Keep answers coming if you have them please. None of these are what I am looking for. I found http://www.phplist.com/ Looks like this will work. Thanks for your posts anyway. MailChimp looks good too. Thanks for that - I'm setting up PHPlists now, but they do not have much in the way of templates to use. MailChimp appears to have that.
What do you think of Yahoo!'s decision to allow unlimited email capacity for its 10th birthday? Yahoo! announced today it was giving users of its web-based email service unlimited storage capacity as a tribute to Yahoo Mail's 10th birthday and today's data-rich internet lifestyle. In a phased roll-out beginning in May, Yahoo will eliminate the one-gigabyte cap on memory for people with free email accounts and two-gigabyte cap of memory for those who pay for premium accounts. ======== I recently changed to Yahoo!7 Mail and brought all my contacts from my other email accounts with the click of one button. Pretty awesome! I think it is fantastic and shows a real change in our society and how we communicate. Will Google's Gmail and MSN Live Mail follow suit? What else do you think about this?

How to look up email addresses by name (for free)? Is there a way (besides Yahoo People Search) to search for people's web-based emails (like gmail, hotmail, live, etc.) using their first and last name? I know there are a lot of paid services that give all sorts of info, but I am just looking for email addresses. Thanks. Ok, well what are some GOOD services that do have subscription costs?
Is this harmful to my computer? Hello. I found a website with some html code. It didn't explain what the code was for, but it did tell me that I should copy and paste it and create an html file from it. should we disgruntled answers users pool our capital and start a site to compete with yahoo!? with the intention of putting them out of business? we could build a better search engine, offer free web-based email, maps that don't take an hour to load, and most importantly, a free speech version of answers. christian bigots would still be allowed to condemn people to hell like they do on this site, but atheists would also be allowed to state their beliefs without having their accounts deleted. anyone think this is a good idea?
What's an email service that ebay doesn’t classify as a free account? "Buyers. These eBay members can only bid and buy items, with no restrictions other than those imposed by negative feedback or other eBay sanctions that can get them kicked off the venue for malfeasance. The only requirement to sign up is a valid e-mail address from an .e-mail service that eBay doesn’t classify as a free account That means that no-cost e-mail accounts from Hotmail, Yahoo, Bigfoot, or other similar services (particularly those that are web-based) cannot be used alone to register with eBay. Those e-mail accounts can be created anonymously, and eBay wants to filter out unidentified users as well as it can. You can still use those accounts to register, but eBay will ask you to also provide your credit card or debit card information." Also is there a fee you must pay for the account?
Microsoft Outlook Express? I have a free web based account (e.g hotmail) with POP3 access which I used for receiving my mails in Outlook Express. Will this internet item last forever? When doing a search, the results appear with a link called "cached " such as this: Yahoo! Mail: The best web-based email!Get free web-based email from Yahoo! Access email from anywhere, enjoy unlimited storage space, and feel secure with award-winning spam protection. mail.yahoo.com/ - 26k - Cached - Similar pages - Note this Not where it says cached above next to the 26K. When you click Cached, it shows the page as it existed in the past. I recently had personal info posted on someone's webpage. They have finally at my insistence taken it down. However, when I do my name search, the item still appears in the search results in the "cached" page. Even though the page-owner removed it, will the old version remain in "cached" forever?
What is that strange pop up icon? It pops up on my browser page as I'm trying to access (clicking on a link) to bring up the write mail window on my web based email service (not a free one), when I try to run pagebuilder in geocities and when I try to use the free tech support online chat option at McAfeehelp.com. It looks like a little browser page with an orange/yellowish kind of square in the lower right hand corner of that, with a big red "X" across that orange/yellowish box. What is that'? I've tried lowering my security and privacy settings in the explorer settings. That didn't work. Went to add/remove programs and removed all toolbars. That didn't help either. Thank you for your help.
getting back deleted emails? ok, my husband has this girlfriend, yet, "there just friends". Do i look like i was born yesterday....anyway...i emailed her a nasty email from his yahoo account, and he got his hands on it. Even though i deleted it after I sent it. He says he has a computer genius friend that got it back for him, i say she forwarded it to his work account. He says she dont know his work email.....yah right! I say its impossible to get back deleted emails from free web-based email accounts, he thinks i'm stupid and told me "his friend did it". What do you guys think? Did his friend get those emails back for him, or is the b*tch forwarding my emails to his work account? And then more than likely STILL communicating with him via his work email? I deleted the trash, i didnt want him to see that i was emailing his whore from his email account. i covered my bases.
