how to properly install defalut e mail client?

I was able to but not now, say like right click on a picture within a web site and e mail it to whomever, or i could click on a e mail us link, within a web site and send e mail to that link. but now i get a error message that pops up everytime i try that. it says DEFAULT E MAIL CLIENT IMPROPERLY INSTALLED can someone help. the people on SMART COMPUTING MAGAZINE web site sure cant, hmmm ha smart computing huh? ha thanks doug
