Public Comments
- Police officer
- police officer
- All of them promote burnout - but LPN's have a super high burnout rate!!!!!!!!!!
- You come across alot of burned out >>carpenters<< do you? (????????) I would think, Police officer. They deal with the dregs of society on a daily basis, and the worst side of humanity. I think postal workers just go bonkers from the sheer endless MONOTONY of their jobs, but police officers burn out more slowly,.....from the daily horrors they are faced with and must process each day.
- police and postal worker.
- Found an article on high stress jobs a while ago. Might have been a govt study. Not what you might think......... Police , nurses, firemen, doctors , the ones you might suspect ,were not in the top percentile. The ones who were....waitresses, concert musicians, X-ray techs & some others you would'nt expect were up in the top 2 percent. Police , doctors etc had high peak stress levels , but the others had higher sustained stress levels. Reasoning was that they had to be consistentlty accurate, fast, or produce high quality results all the time. . Risky medical or police jobs can have a higher emotional penalty which can cause burnout for some If stress level = burnout ,would go w/ postal workers who cannot control the pace of work or workload or reporters who must put in long hours, must be accurate & produce under deadline conditions. Since the postal worker has less visibility,I think I would go w/ A then D..... dont think the othere are even close. In the business culture of today ,burnout is very common w/ the pressures of KPI's( key performance indicators), more w/ less, customer satisfaction surveys & other measurements (valid or not) which keep stress levels high. Best regards
