(UK) Where can I get new car registration plates done tomorrow (Saturday) ?

I need new plates, front and rear. Theres a postal strike so I can forget about getting one of the online companies to make up new plates. My car failed MOT on it's plates. And no, they are not altered to space out special word or anything, as they are same plates I got with the car brand new. It's just that new MOT regulations which came in this month (1st Oct 2007) means number plates have to have British Standard mark and the name and postcode of the plate supplier. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/210559/registration_plates.html Any suggestions on where I could try to get new plates done tomorrow? 1. Some Halfords do them you have to take your registration documents to prove you have the right to request the new plates.

5. any car dealership should be able to do them for you, or kwik fit, halfords, motaman, parts uk etc. you will need your log book and some id.
6. Can your Local Halfords not help, they made mine up? All you need is proof that you own the car, and the old plates will do the trick. Unless the rules have changed again in the nanny state we call Great Britain.
