I'm currently 17 years old, and 18 in a month. I've "got connections", as I hear it is popular to have to receive employment with USPS. I am very close with several people who have served with USPS for years and years. I'm a hard working citizen for my age and pull 6 hours every day mon-fri at a local factory my dad operates. I know I must take the civil service exam (won't be a problem.) Also, I am sworn in and a new enlistee with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard (leaving for Basic this Summer!), does this help any? What I need to know is if you must be a high school graduate with a high school diploma to be eligible to work for USPS. This is what I found off of the USPS website- Age Requirement 18 years at the time of appointment or 16 years with a high school diploma. Does this mean that when I am 18 I am eligible for employment, although not yet a graduate?
