Mail was stolen by a carrier and the crime was covered up by his supervisor. The Inspector General's Office opened the case, but did not follow through or crack the case. The evidence was quite obvious. Who else would you contact? Who would be above the Inspector General? ****** FYI - The Postal Inspectors do nothing about "inside" crime anymore. They were the first people notified. As of January 2007, Postal Inspectors do not investigate cases where carriers are the thieves. The Inspector General's Office handles that.
