Why are postal workers so cranky?

When I recieved my mail today from my mail-man he freaked out on me for ordering so many free-samples. And yelled that he was tired of having to get out of his truck!

2. aint it the truth!! so who duznt hav a job dat sux? they walk outside all day, dont hav boss over their shoulders, get good benefits and pay, and have a lifetime job. and yet they gotta be sop nasty. but thats a generalization too. im sure theres some nice ones, i just havent met em.
3. because they walk around all day in the Blazin hot SUN!!! oh well. he'll apologize later, im sure!
4. That was really rude of him. It his job and he must do it professionally. If he wanted a better job, he should've studied more in his youth. He had no right to freak out on you. I assume it's because of low sallary, poor working conditions... It could also be a personal problem. Postal workers have their bad days too, like all people. We can think of many reasons to be upset.
5. Mine smiles and says hi. He enjoys his job. Your postman is not necessarily typical.
6. if your job involved getting up really, really early, walking long distances, in all weathers only to have small or even large angry dogs hurl themselves at you, you would be grumpy too!
7. You should report him. All of the postal employees I know are pleasant and respectful. He should not be permitted to continue in that job. He sounds like a nut.

10. because they have to walk every day (almost) in the morning. they also might complain because they may hate giving too many mails to a person every single day for just junk
11. lets look at it from his point of view. what if you had a job. and that job was to deliver peoples mail to them. EVERYDAY you go to the same place, over, and over, and over again, day after day after day. And no matter, how good, or how fast, or how slow you deliver the mail, there is always more mail to deliver, mostly junk mail that nobody really wants. And the boss is always pressuring you to deliver the junk mail, and regular mail faster. those bags of mail can weigh around 50 pounds. and you have to carry those mail bags all day. No matter how well you do your job, there is no promotions, nothing to look forward to for the rest of your life, but more of the same routine day after day after day. and some of these guys have to use their own cars,
