Postal Letter

Should postal workers be allowed to carry guns?

Public Comments

  1. I think so. I think there are alot of people out there that should. I know I would
  2. No. They are the ones that usually "go postal"!
  3. I thought they already did, especially when their girlfriends leave them/ boss pisses them off, and they decide to take it out on their colleagues. I think the guy who drives this probably carries a gun http://o.wao.com/policecaronline/home/Photos/Fed/USPSPD/uspspd1.html
  4. Allowed? LOL... They already carry guns. Where do you think Going Postal came from?
  5. Absolutely not! Think about this: You are sitting at home, someone walks up to your front door with a weapon holstered and tries to drop off a package. Yeah right you're going to open that door for them!!!! It would certainly lead to people impersonating them, it would be way, way too easy. They are not peace keepers (officers of the peace), they are postal workers. Leave guns for the cops and those of us that are responsible users (hunters and sporting shooters). While I realize that they should be able to protect themselves, a firearm will only cause further problems. If they have a great deal of problems with trucks getting robbed, they should hire private security details to escort them/their cargo.
  6. no because there isn't really a problem with psotal workers getting hurt..they carry pepper spray anyway and if u tried to rob them or hurt them in any kind of way it's a federal offense
  7. No. Ever heard of the term, "Going Postal"? Why give them an advantage?
  8. I believe everyone should go armed. When they did in the old west crime was very low. Everyone knew that everyone had a gun and would defend themselves.
  9. I don't see any reason for that. Just increases the chance of someone "going postal". Even mail carriers, if the neighborhood is too dangerous, should simply not deliever mail there...carrying a weapon just increases the chance the carrier will use it unwisely. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not return to the old "wild west" days.
  10. No. Our mail carrier is rude! What more if he carried a gun! I reported him and he behaved for a while. I used to work for the post office. On my first day of work, this lady had a gun and she was looking for her supervisor 'coz she got fired! This was at MLS in Carmel Mountain.
  11. they cant be trusted- - I still am missing money from my 3rd b'day party
  12. They have no reason to. Unless its for self protection.
