- They seem to hire a lot of eh... slow people. And heavy lifting, of course.
- THE MAIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!
- pitbulls and rotwielers would be my only concern and maybe the crack heads and crazy child support mothers waiting for that unemployment check every 1st week and last week of the months....hahahah jp everywork has its flaws
- One disadvantage is that people think that when you get pissed off you'll reach for your gun and start shooting.
- They only hire permanent employees once every 3 years. Between permanent hires, you can only get hired as a casual worker. You make 10.00 per hour with no benefits, and you can only work 6 out of 12 consecutive months. So, unless it is their permanent hire time, I'd steer clear of the USPS.
- Like any other job, working in the postal service will have its drawbacks. For example, there is never a snow day for a letter carrier. Besides having jerk bosses and early hours, the postal service sounds pretty good.
- I'm going to have to say the shorts hahaha
- being a rural carrier put wear and tear on your vehicle being hired as a part time flex which means low pay, no benefits and you lose your job at 179 days because if you work the full 180 days they have to hire you permanently (on the bright side though if you are good then they call you back almost immediately so look at it like a mini vacation) mandatory overtime if you work behind the scenes (sorting mail etc...) rain, snow, sleet, hail, wind, heat, cold...all the elements outdoors There are lots of advantages though and trust me they DO outweigh the disadvantages but working for the USPS is not for everyone.
- It is not a bad job for an average person. The wages is good. It is better than most other jobs. You will have a good benefit package which most privately owned companies do not have for their employee. The job would be boring, because you probably doing the same thing all the time. You may have to work night shift in the beginning and most likely, you have to work weekends.
