What does the United States Postal Service do with "Dear Santa" letters?
Assume that Santa Claus, real or not, has no postal address.

- Well, I know at my Grandpa's post office they would sometimes reply to the children. I think most places toss them or return to sender. It is more of a thing to do for the kids.
- toss them duh!
- A lot of time each post office will have someone that is supposed to answer them, providing the carrier noted where they were picked up from. I myself have some post card that are purported to be from one of Santa's helpers that I will leave in the mailbox.
