Postal Letter

Anyone here that works for The United States Postal Service?

I really want to work for the USPS its something that me and my friend have been talking about for a while now but we really don't know how to go about it I know that you have to take an exam some people have told me that it's really hard well any ways my question is Where can I get a copy of the Exam? I would like to know more or less what it's about is there a website where I can go to find more information about what is on the Exam?

  1. hi there. i am a letter carrier and i have taken the test. basically the test is gauged to check accuracy and speed. for example you will get two columns of addresses. you must check if they are the same or different. sounds easy but they want you to do several in a short amount of time. one address may say "Main St." and then "Main Rd.". you have to be able to catch the difference quickly. Don't try to answer all the questions. there are simply too many. concentrate on accuracy more than speed. that is most important when your carrying the mail. speed will come, but if you're not accurate speed doesn't matter. good luck. try to get at least an 80. most of the carriers i work with scored 80 or above. i was a 93
  2. You can't get a copy of the exam..it's top secret! They are very serious about it and won't let you leave the room unless they have your booklet. You can get books from the library with sample questions like the test and practice on those. You need to apply at USPS.com and go to the jobs section on the bottom of the page...find out if there is a testing in your area. Sign up and wait for a package with information on your testing day. It is a very long process that can take years to finally get a job so don't rely on it. Most people don't even get to the interview process.
