How to send Postal Order via Post Office in UK?

in UK, how should we send postal order within country? should we pay money at post office so that they will send it to the beneficiary OR should we get a cheque-like thing from post office and post it to the beneficiary?

1. Mail certified check. Easier.
2. buy the postal orders from th post office. The staff are really helpful, and will advise you how is best to send them. I always post them myself.
