- Don't do it!!! the US postal money order he is gonna send will be counterfeit!!! sell locally and accept cash only.. To Avoid scams here is what i tell people... All spam emails/unsolicited phone calls/letters and faxes are scams. As a general rule - ANYTHING involving Western Union/money gram = Scam. my Advice: Don't deal with anyone from a foreign country or Accept checks from strangers and never use wire/bank transfer services.. you risk losing your $$ and your mind. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! NEVER give out your personal information to strangers online or offline! Always be on guard. Who am I? John is a Scam Expert warning the public about scams since 2002. Don't ignore his advice or YOU WILL GET SCAMMED!!! -Jenn
- Do not ship until you get the money order, go to the post office and cash it and after wards you can ship him the phone. Do not accept more than the price you had agreed, sometimes they pay you extra and after wards they ask you to pay the balance to someone else. Are you selling it on eBay?
- SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! No do not do it. Don't. Here is how this works. They will send you a postal money order for more then the selling price of the phone. Sometimes quite a bit more. They will be kind enough to allow you enough time to cash the money order, and see that the balance has been added to the account. They will offer you some money as a tip for sending them the difference. Usually around 10-20%. Then around 30 days later, your bank finds out the money order is bogus, and the deduct the full cost of the money order from your account. Which leaves you without the money, and without the phone. By the way, did I mention this was a scam?
- when the post office issue,s you a money order you get a receipt you put the receipt name on it . it work,s just like a check or a money order . or a certified check get the money order send it . there is no damage he can do with what he is asking for. I UST TO BE A SALES MAN FOR DOLLY MADISON I WOULD SELL 10.000 DOLLAR,S WORTH OF CAKE A DAY GET A MONEY ORDER SEND IT TO THEM . NO PROBLEM.
- You can, but it generally isn't very smart. I work in a bank and one of the most counterfeited items is US Postal Money orders. You can give him your name (first initial and last name should suffice), and mailing information, but don't send the phone to him until you can verify with your bank that the money order has cleared and that there is no float left on the check.
