Question about mailing to Canada?
I have to mail something to Canada from USA. Do I need a customs form from the Postal Office if I'm mailing in a plain white envelope? Or do I only need a customs form for a package? Thanks.

- If you are just mailing paper in your envelope....then no customs declaration will be required. But...... If you are sending anything in that package that is not "paper" (example: a disk, a pen or a pair of shoes) you will require a customs declaration from the Post Office. Good luck
- Canada Customs can open and inspect any mail coming from the United States, except letters less than 30 grams. If your plain white envelope is greater than 30 grams AND if it contains merchandise, a customs form is required. You would not need a customs form if you are not sending merchandise (e.g., if it is just a very thick letter, or contains documents or personal photos, or something of the like).
- customs doc s only needed for packages but dont send dope in a envelope because they are checked too
- don't forget for custom TAX, TAX on TAX extra TAX on TAX and TAX on extra tax on tax
