Cost of a small van for courier delivery service?

How much on average does it cost to hire a small van for a courier delivery service. I'm thinking of changing jobs and a courier seems like a good option. How much on average does it cost in van hire and insurance ( overheads) before I start making any money per month based on a man in his mid-thirties with 3 points on his licence?

1. Dont bother it isnt worth it
2. while I cannot give you a definite answer, I do know that as soon as the insurers hear the word courier service they will "shaft you" as they say where im from.
3. Courier,,,, Hired van,,,, 3 penalty points. Son if you can afford the insurance you do not need a job.
