  1. Complain to your supervisor
  2. There are health and Safety regulations on this very thing. You can contact the local OSHA offiec for details.
  3. It's wrong, I agree. Most reputable companies send a second man along with the driver especially for this purpose; sounds like your company is flouting the rules.
  4. Its going to be down to you mate. You are responsible for your H & S as much as the company and if you are expectd to carry things that are too heavy or bulky to manage on your own it is up to you to bring it to your supervisor's or manager's attention but do it before you injure yourself
  5. drop them on the doorstep
  6. I would not leave the warehouse without an helping hand . And if the company expected me to do it on my own i would tell them where to stuff their furniture .
  7. you've heard the old cliche, the load is the drivers responsibility, well so is his health, if the item is too heavy and there is no help, take it back. exert your authority, recently i took 4 ton of plaster board back to s/bourne from hoddesdon, because the staff refused to watch me as i reversed a 44 tonner round 2 blind side bends with parked cars on both sides, people will make the effort if they need the goods bad enough.
