Postal Letter

I was just visited by a delivery man selling different types of meats.?

I couldn't read the side of the white delivery van, but it had red and blue writing. He came to my door, he had a partner in the passenger seat, and said his boss had over stocked the van and he was selling shrimp and steak at 1/4 of the cost in grocery stores. I did not buy anything. I am wondering if this may be a stake out, you know how criminals check out an area before they burglariz it? Or am I being paranoid?

  1. was it the schwan man? it is a person in a delivery truck selling food. maybe google them and see what their logo looks like.
  2. It could be just anything but good. Stolen meat, casing your home, old meat. You did right by not buying.
  3. hmmm, dont know. u should buy a big dog to be on the safe side.
  4. It's probably not the same company but I've had the same type thing happen. Prices were not that good and who knows the quality of the product. I think you did the right thing.
  5. Could be a little or a lot of premonition since 99% this is probably either stolen products or has been thawed out and refrozen and unfortunetly maybe more than once. So your gut feeling that crooks in the area is good and why not stake out houses while they are there.Next time just don`t open the door.
  6. Most likely you would never see this guy again. The meat was probably bad or thawed and refrozen.
  7. You're being paranoid. It happens all the time where I live. The meat is legit although VERY OVERPRICED!! It is a tactic used to make you think you are getting a good deal and before you know it you've spent $125.00 on 8lbs of meat. Remember these are Special cuts of meat and the shrimp was a personal friend of Nemo. They just go to different neighborhoods from time to time to sell what they have leftover.
  8. If it's too good to be true it probably is. They could be casing your house or if you didn't come to door they would know you weren't home. I don't talk to or buy anything from anyone who solicits at my door.
