Postal Letter

How do you tip your mailman over christmas?

I would like to give my mailman a $20 gift card, belated obviously, but How should I do the transaction?

  1. I don't tip people I have never met. I live in an apartment complex.
  2. Get a belated gift card and hand it to him if you can. If you know his name, put it on an envelope and put it in your mailbox right before he comes one day too.
  3. Put the Money in an envelope and write in big bold letters TO: THE MAILMAN! FROM: you. put the flag up!
  4. Secure a card or envelope with your gift in it to the top of your mailbox or on the door to it to be sure that he/she sees it and knows that it's for them.
  5. REAL WELL! lol...jk. Umm my father is actually a mail man i apsolutely love what he brings home over Christmas time, treats, cards that kinda stuff. Its just sooo cool. I think that if you give anything it will be cool. He or she will appreciate that you thought of them and their family(if they have one) Will also thank you also. My dad usually just gets them from inside the mailboxes when he opens them up, but if you want to make it even more personal feel free to go ahead and hand it to him yourself. :)...
  6. Put a post-it note on the envelope with "To the mail-man" and then put to the "Mail man" on the card also..Just to make sure he see it if he's in a rush!
  7. wait till he isn't looking and give him a sudden push.
  8. write on an envelope in BOLD letters (use a marker) For you Mr. Postman
  9. Just give it to him or put it in your mailbox, hr will appreciate it.
  10. I always give gift cards to the mail carrier and the sub. I call each year to make sure that I still have the same ones. I usually give a $20 gift card to QuikTrip, since there's one by the post office. I put the gift cards inside holiday cards and address them to the carrier at the post office with a stamp on the envelope. You could put yours in a thank you card.
  11. we as postal employees are not suppose to receive tips. Don't know why but we are not suppose to receive these and if we do we are to turn the amount into our postmaster.
  12. Hay TP, just give the lettercarrair a belated card with the gift in side you can make it out to the carrier and just leave it in the out going mailbox;)
