How long does it take to receive a letter from Pennsylvania to California via USPS regular ground?

I am expecting a student loan check coming from Pennsylvania via USPS regular ground mail to me in California. I was just curious if anyone knew about how long does that usually take? The company said 5-7 days, but I was just curious of getting maybe a more approximate answer? Does anyone know?
