looking for suggestions for a 50th birthday cake for a mailman.?

I am making a cake for a birthday party for a friend of mine. He is going to be 50 and he is a mailman.

1. make a letter cake ....square cake with creative icing .......... u can even send it to him ex. mr.postman hot hottiewood drive h0T H0t ect.. or if being a mailman isnt his whole entire life im sure any cake u make will be sufficent
2. Make it into a shape of a parcel (package) or an envelope.
3. I am not entirely certain of your abilities, but here is what I would do: Stack and carve your cakes into a mailbox shape. Cover the mailbox shaped cake with white rolled fondant (like you use on wedding cakes - availble in most craft stores). Use a little red food coloring to make a mailbox flag. Either cut letters of out fondant or write on the side of the mailbox... like: Harvey Mailman 50 is Nifty Lane Happy Birthday, CA 90210 Good Luck!
