I recently moved and my new mailman keeps putting a rubberband on my mailbox and not giving my mail. Whats up?
There's always at least one car in the driveway and cable/utility bills are being sent, so the mailman must know we live here. Could he be forwarding my bills to the previous occupant?

- I would call the post office and talk to them and if possible try and be home when they come and talk to them.
- Go talk to your postmaster. It's been a really long time since I moved but I do remember having to do address changes directly with the post office. The mailman has no way of knowing what car is whose, so that does not tell them anything about who lives where. For all he knows, you've got a PO box.
- Did you fill out a change of address card at the post office? If not they can"deliver your mail until you do. if you have, call and speak to the postmaster.
- The Post Office is famous for making up little rules on why you can't have your mail in your new home, but then they don't tell you what the problem is until you call them. Meanwhile your mail all gets returned to the sender.
- I've had mail problems before. I called the post office and file a complaint. That fixed the problem quickly. Good luck. ( :
- just contact the post office, ask them whats up, and be firm till you get what you want. its the only way. do it a couple times if you have to. if that doesnt work tell them your going to take legal action! lol!
- Fill out a change of address form and talk to the post master. A phone call should do the trick.
- Did you fill out and return the "Change of Address" form. If you see the mailman, ask him for one. They usually carry them in their vehicles. If you have not returned the form, please do it at one. If you have already done this, call the 1-800 number listed in the phone book, or your local post office, as others have advised.
