1. I have a friend that took a job as a rural route carrier. She had to furnish her own car & gas. The upkeep was totally her responsibility. The salary was terrible. She would have had to work 6 routes to make any money...which meant she was in her car all day and part of the night. She quit the job after a couple of weeks because it was tearing up her car and she wasn't making enough money to make the repairs.
