Is there a patch or something you can get that will pull the tracking number out of a fedex barcode?
I bought a little cheap barcode scanner off of ebay. It's called a cuecat I think. It works perfect for UPS, USPS, and DHL, but Fedex barcodes have way more info in them than just the tracking number. Is there a patch or a piece of hardware I can get so they will pull out the tracking number and leave all the other digits out??

- It depends on the brand of bar code scanner. It needs to parse out the data based on a rule. Since FedEx is a data intense company which results in them being the best at what they do, you may be able to create a bar code scanning rule that will only parse data when it's X amount of characters long. Symbol scanners do this very well. But, it's unlikely your scanner will do it. You might want to consider some simple programming code to do what you want. You're best bet it to contact FedEx and ask to speak with an inside sales rep who can get you in touch with a technical specialist.
