What does "Signed for by" mean? I saw it on the FedEx tracking system.?

Thank you for answering. Then why can the system show the complete spelling of the person who signed? Do the FedEx person ask?

1. It means the person who signed for, (accepted) the package or letter. The person that is responsible for the item once Fed Ex delivers it to the address listed. The one who signs better take it to whose ever name is listed.
2. It means that the package was delivered and and signed for by the person on the tracking information.
