  2. its very formal not casual
  3. To become a full-time employee, you have to take the Postal Exam. You can't automatically go from casual to PTF without going through the process just as anyone else off the street would. The benefit is that after a certain number of months as a casual (it was 6 months when I was a casual), you are given the opportunity to take the test, whereas someone off the street would have to wait until the test was open to the public. That could be years in some places. Once you're on the register, getting hired is a matter of test scores and when they're hiring, and it varies. I was a casual for three years before they finally started hiring full-time people where I worked. My scores were high enough that I got hired right then, but other casuals who were working with me then are still working as casuals. About the interview...come up with come reasons why you want to work for the PO. I'm not sure what kinds of questions they ask carriers, though, since I'm a Mailhandler.
