If I have FEDEX Ground pick up a package and if I underestimate the weight, will I be charged extra?

The packagae is too heavy to bring to the P.O. By extra, I mean, will Fedex charge a penalty fee? I have no problems paying for the actual weight on the package.

  1. Yes but it will be delayed--probably not what you want if it "absolutely positively has to be there overnight!" --edit--- No. no penalty for a "bad" weight estimate. Essentially, your estimate serves as a pre-sorting measure that helps them calculate the resources they will need for all their shipments from one market to another. They know that it is only an estimate. They will end up weighing and charging you appropriately.
