Does Fedex ground send things through all day? including at night time?

I ordered something online Thursday and the last message on the status report was that it left the FedEx origin facility at 9:43PM in NY. I live in Illinois and I'm waiting for it to get here. My question is, does Fedex send things through all day including night time? Like even at night they are shipping packages on ground? or Do they stop the whole sending process at night and pick up things again in the morning? Thanks!

1. the long haul trucks deliver during day and night but the trucks that actually deliver to houses and buisnesses delivery hours end at 6pm
