What is the best means to send personal papers (within the US)?Post office?UPS?Fedex ground?

The papers are valuable because they are tax returns, statements from mutual funds, etc. Overnight service is NOT necessary. If using the USPS, which should be used? Registered?

1. USPS, and make sure its certified.
2. FedEx is inexpensive and extremely reliable. USPS isn't reliable, they are always losing things. UPS is good, but generally higher than FedEx. We ship all important items through FedEx, it's the only shipping method we trust. You don't want to take a chance with papers that have so much personal finacial information.
3. I sent some personal papers to Mexico from USA and the best way was fedex, overnight and good price $ 36.00 from Pennsylvania to Monterrey Mexico and they delivered to the address.
