How long does Fedex 3-day ground from CA to CO take?

I got a notification saying it shipped from California today. I have a tracking number and all that for Fedex, but realistically how long would it take to ship from California to Colorado?

1. 2-4 days usually
2. If the shipment went 3-day, the shipment will arrive on the third day no matter how far the shipment is sent. (I fell victim to this many times ordering things on the internet and paying for two or three day shipping to find out later that if I would have paid for ground service, the item would have arrived sooner.) That is one of the problems with ordering from the interent and not knowing where the seller is located...
