How do I go about shipping a queen sized bed half way across the U.S.?
I just want that one item shipped, but I think freight trucks only deal with large orders(?). And I know I can't use FedEx, UPS, etc. because they require boxes. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

- you will have to go with freight but the way gas prices have gone up it will probably make more sense to just buy another one
- I questioned that once with the shippers...it was cheaper to buy new.
- Moving companies will add it to a load going that direction--but there may be substantial delays, and it'll cost you plenty. You can phone any interstate moving company and get a ball-park estimate for mattress, box springs, and frame. Be warned, a new bed might be cheaper.
- Your best bet is sell the bed where you live for whatever you can get. When you arrive at your destination look for Salvation Army, Goodwill, or local charity places which carry donated furniture. You can get terrific buys on great quality merchandise.
