Fed ex drivers apprentice?

I saw this ad in the paper... " Begin your career with the FedEx Freight Team as a Driver Apprentice. We're now offering qualified individuals an opportunity to learn how to drive a tractor-trailer through our Driver Development Course offered at NO COST to the employee. To qualify you must have a clean driving record and stable work history." So I had 2 OUIs like over 10 years ago... I couldve got my license back like a year later but I just didnt get it back til just over a year ago. I have a clean driving record and since they happened aso long ago they are off my record too right? SO my question is DO I HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD?

  1. Maybe,DUI's can stay on your record for at least ten years, since youve stated you have two that is not a good sign. When I first started driving a rig 11 1/2 years ago,my co driver had a Dui that was six years old and he was still able to get a CDL.The thing is Fed-X can be a stickler for such things. You see as a driver with a Class A license, your record is looked at with more scrutiny,as are the responsibilities that come with a class A license.MY advice would be,go ahead and try it,after all they specify they are looking for people whom may be qualified, that puts you there in that category. Youll never know if you dont try,and if they say NO well then youll know.
