How can I find out what businesses the FEDEX and UPS trucks stop at every day in my city?

I am doing a research paper here at UNLV and it is on the logistics and shipping business of the major overnight and 2nd day carriers in Las Vegas. I am trying to find a couple routes that the UPS and FEDEX drivers use here to determine the effectiveness of GPS units on the trucks among other things. Any and all thoughts on how I can gather this information would be appreciated. Thanks for the help. ~Jimmy

  1. I would bet they stop everywhere. I don't know if that would help or hurt you.
  2. Their websites - dah...
  3. what he said
  4. The folks above don't understand your question. You want to know all the places they have regular stops right? There are tons of those (manufacturers, retailers, etc.) that aren't on their website. You best shot is to talk to one of the drivers. I would bet if they think you're questioning the gps device they'll be your best friend. (the drivers I know hate the things.) Try to figure out where they stop for lunch on their route (probably fast food) and offer to buy . . .
  5. My guess is that neither FEDEX or UPS is going to give you that info. There would be no one else that has that info either. I suggest you follow a couple of routes for a week to see for yourself.....Of course you could always ask a driver to see if they will help you.
