how do i get a job as a mailman?

i would like to know more how a person can get a job as a mailman

1. Fill out an application at the Post Office.

3. Go to the Post Office, and ask for an application, complete it and send it in. While waiting for the announcement as to when the exams are to be given, go to a bookstore and buy a manual on how to study for the postal exams. They are quite extensive. Study really hard. Then take the test and hope for really high scores. It does help, also, to be a veteran or a disabled veteran as these are given five and ten points preference.
4. There's a little pub in Boston. Called cheers I think. Go there. Look for a man named CLiff. He'll be able to help.
5. You'll need to take the Civil Service Exam (and score well on it), as well as fill out an application at the Post Office. Ask for testing dates and info when you pick up the application.
