how can i get a job as a mailman?

6. Contact your local post office and apply. They will have a list that your name will go on. When there is an opening, the next person on the list is given a chance to take the test to get the job. Also look into becoming part-time mail carrier. It may be easier to apply and eventually become full-time.
7. there is a test you have to take, and then they call you for an interview based on your score, the highest being called first. i took the test long ago, but don't remember exactly what it's called.

10. You need a High School diploma and have to pass a Postal Exam. They test you your memory and ability to read numbers accurately.., among other things. Talk to your local Postmaster for details of where to apply
11. you have to take a state exame. I was going to do it once. You have to have a high school dapl. then you apply to take the exame, the place, date and time always vary, so just go to the post office and ask them where to take the exam. their is a fee for taking this exam, so if you fail, you also lose your money. then they take all the applacations, and the highest scores are placed in piles, and sorted out, then you get a call for an interview. the exam is nothing you can study for, they ask you every thing you should have learned in 11th and 12th grade (math) and tons of common sense questions, but every one vary's on the common sense factor. Go to the post office and ask them for an applacation and explain to them that you want to be a postal carrier, they will hook ya up.

There are different tests for the different positions. If you find an open position then you can apply for a seat at the exam. There are many companies that will sell you material on how to pass the USPS tests. They have varying warranties about passing the test.
