Is Channel 4 like the Daily Mail of UK television?

Channel 4 seem not to understand the difference between peer-reviewed academic papers and clippings from the Daily Mail. Take their programmes on climate change for example. Does anybody else find this TV Channel's portrayal of the facts unacceptable?

1. Channel 4 is great. They really challenge the consensus. Peer review is a big con. Why don't you just call it bully review, or crush dissent review. Never in human history has the consensus been the truth. Channel 4 is opening minds.
2. No, The Daily Mail would never fund movies like 'The Crying Game'.
3. I Think that perhaps you need to be a little more cynical about academics pursuing climate change scaremongering. Firstly, that is how they attract research funding, because it is difficult to obtain funding unless it is attached to the latest fad, currently 'climate change'. Disabilities, racial and sexual issues are examples of earlier attachments to obtain funding. Secondly, climate change is being used by left wing academics with an anti-capitalist agenda. It provides an excellent basis for control and for tax raising. Channel 4 is left of centre, whereas, the Daily Mail most certainly isn't. This was a very unusual viewpoint from C4, I admit. But the point of view presented WAS supported by world renowned scientists, and I think that it was far nearer the truth than that presented by the scaremongering lefties with their own agenda. I was already a cynic regarding the causes of global warming. I would also trust the Daily Mail considerably more than that left wing rag, the Guardian. I found the programme compelling and intelligent.
4. Channel 4 is brilliant. And I loved the Climate change doc. It's what I've been thinking for ages. Global carbon levels FOLLOWED temperature rise! Bush endorsed biofuels create carbon too!! An by far the vast majority of carbon comes from the ocean - then organic matter. Bravo Channel 4 for deviating from the nomal line of left wing consensus. It should not mean that we should continue to endlessly rape the earth of it's finite resources though. Channel 4's news coverange and documentaries are amongst the best in the world!!
5. I know, its crap and sensationalist. The climate change conspirators didn't do any solid research and quoted criminals, out-of-date theories and fraudsters like David Bellamy et al. Come on Channel 4, stick to BigBrother and rubbish like that and keep your moronic nose out of politically driven crap.
