Postal Letter

How can I eliminate 10-20 daily bulk mail messages about penis erection and watches.?

Every time the computer is turned on, I have to delete the daily barrage of the same senseless messages. I do not intende to continue wasting the time.

  1. Bulk mail and spam are different names for the same folder in Classic and New Yahoo Mail. Mail there indicates that it has been screened out. Yahoo puts it there just for the chance something went there in error. The only way to not see it at all is with a filter. If the FROM address is always the same you can place it in the blocked address list. If the SUBJECT always contains the same words you can create a filter that will put it in the trash. ✩
  2. I use Outlook Express for my email. I got really, really tired of writing filters for such messages because each time the "from" info varies by a single character, it requires a new filter, AND no chance to filter all possible "misspellings" of viagra and cialis to filter the message text. I invested a few dollars in a nifty little utility called MailWasher Pro. It shows you the messages and even allows you to read the text (if there is any) BEFORE they are downloaded from your server to your computer. There, you can label them as blacklisted or not. You can also write filters. It's not perfect but it gives you a sense of power over those spammers. I'm a 70 year old woman and quite frankly, I'm puzzled that they feel I'm troubled with E.D. OR require a Rolex-like watch.
  3. Spam filters are really the only hope. You can download spam filters, buy them in retail stores and sometimes your email service has one built in. I think people should take a more aggressive approach to getting rid of spammers. First we need to ask ourselves why there are spammers in the first place. There are spammers because it costs them no money to send out 1000's of ads, so if just one person responds that's a plus. Maybe that one person is our enemy then! Maybe we should send out our own penis or watch spam and wait for a serious buyer to respond. When that person responds, we go to his house and take care of him! Okay, that doesn't sound very civilized. That's a bad idea. Another better idea is to consider that spammers use email because it costs them nothing. Well maybe we have to make it cost them something then! Maybe everyone should bombard them with responses. Waste their time making them think you're interested in buying and then back out. Buy something and then dispute the purchase to lock the release of your money and then return the product. Call their support numbers and waste their time. Be the most annoying customer you can be. If everyone did this, they would never want to advertise on the internet again. Time is money so the best way to get back at spammers is to hit them in their pocket books! Heck with spam filters, this is war!
  4. Duuuh! Bulk mail is spam. Why the heck are you even worrying about how many crap mail messages there are in bulk? Set the thing to delete bulk mail as fast as it arrives, and you'll never have to worry about it again! You are the one wasting your time, because you can't stop the "barrage of senseless messages." That's SPAM and the world is awash in it.
