How can I turn appliance boxes into shipping boxes?

I want to ship through the usps with my own boxes mainly because the free boxes that can be ordered on their website are small and are for only small items. The items I want to ship are medium sized items, but the boxes that I have, show printing on the outer layer of the box from a toaster oven that I bought along with some other appliances, which the boxes are not solid brown. The post office does not allow any kind of printing on the outer box, now how can I turn these boxes into shipping boxes?
