What do you think is the best Virus Protection on the market?

Not only that, I need Virus Protection, anti spy, and firewall. I've been using the suite that is included with ATT Yahoo DSL but I need a different one because I purchased a new computer with Vista and they dont support Vista (and won't until at least August). Preinstalled on my computer I have a free trial of Norton but I was not happy with them on my last computer because I felt they take up too much memory. Give me some suggestions and why. I need the works but they don't have to be from the same provider. I was leaning toward computer associates but tell me what you think.

  1. AVAST works best for me it takes little memory! You can find it at Downloads.com
  2. i use nod32 is a good antivirus protection another good program is norton antivirus
  3. Vista compatibility with many programs right now. Microsoft One-care used to be pretty bad but recently it has improved a lot. It is pretty much guarenteed to be vista compatible. If you want to go the free route My suggestions are: Avast OR AVG Windows Firewall OR ZoneAlarm *Spybot AND *Ad-Aware AND *Windows Defender (*=None of these three with real-time protection on)
  4. For the price, AVG Free. Free is a very good price, and AVG doesn't take a back seat to any Anti-virus no matter how much they charge for it. If I was going to buy one, it would be the AVG upgrade. They have protected my computer so well for so many years, that I would never even think about changing to anyone else.
  5. Theres only one solution, which is Kaspersky Anti Virus. Best out there,if you can find a virus that will get thought it, let me know. Amazing anti virus. http://usa.kaspersky.com/products_services/HomeProducts.php
  6. Avoid CA....do it a search on CA products and you should find plenty of conflicting audits about their program. Go with Trend Micro PC-Cillin. Not a resource hog like Norton 360 (a waste with a slick interface).
