what is the best virus protection that i can purchase from Frys or Bestbuy?

I would like to purchase a virus protection for my computer. what is the best one out there? i know there's free virus protection online that i can download but i think you can get popups and things like that from it.

that is not true , there are great free programs out there which are better than paid for antivirus programs, just because you pay for something doesnt mean it;s good. I use avast antivirus and it doesnt give me any trouble at all , i also have comodo firewall pro which is also free

check to make sure your ISP doesnt already provide it. Comcast provides McAffee to its customers at no extra charge.
