i shipped an item to the wrong address can i tell usps to change the address and ship it to the right address?

i shipped an item to the wrong address. can i tell usps to change the address and ship it to the right place or cancel it and ship it back to me? if it left the post office and it shipped but still no one recieved it yet, can i tell usps to stop the shipping and give them the right address. i still have the reciept and tracking # & it saids its been shipped already from july 21 to brazil that doesnt make any sense when i wrote to ship to south korea and i shipped the box on august 30. Is it possible usps made a mistake? can i stop the shipping and send it to the right address even when its still shipping to a wrong place but no person recieved it yet. im asking you PLEASE HELP ME. im thinking about this all day worrying. i feel like im doomed. my stomach doesnt feel well thinking about this.its a valuable package and it needs to be recieved from the right person i tried sending too.

  1. No, you cannot retrieve the package and change the address. Yes, you could have an error on the tracking receipt.
  2. I commend you for accepting the blame and not blaming the post office as many fools do.
