When I made address change at USPS web site, they are asking credit card information. Is this credit card info
Is this credit card information will be shown on the address change notification? Is this sent to old address and new address?

- I do not know why they would ask for a credit card for a change of address, you may want to call your local post office.
- They ask for the credit card info for identity verification. They also charge a $1.00 fee to offset the expense of the verification. I don't know whether this info will show up on the notification, but somehow I doubt it. I believe they send it to your old address, but if you've already moved it will be forwarded to you anyway. If you want to avoid submitting the credit card info and paying the $1 fee, all you have to do is go to your nearest post office and fill out the change of address card. They don't ask for a credit card or charge you a fee in that case. Usually, they have the change of address cards sitting there in the lobby (they come in a little envelope/packet with other papers, it's mostly junk stuff--flyers and coupons useful for people who are moving). If there are none out just ask the clerk for a change of address form and they'll give you one. Hope this helps! Good luck and God bless!
- Credit Card information will not be on your change of address card once processed, used only for ID. To avoid this, request change of address card from carrier, or go to local post office.
