Can you change a fedex shipping address?

I'm getting a package but I'm not going to be home on the day it will be delivered. I don't have a doorman, and I live in a city so they don't leave the package because people will steal it. Is there a way I could call and tell them to send it to my job or another address? What should I do?

1. They will attempt delivery and leave a card when you are no there. It will give instructions on arranging delivery with a code to protect you. That's probably your best bet although it will take a day or so longer to get your item.
