Getting a package handler job at fedex or UPS?

I'm back in school and trying to get a job at UPS or Fedex as a package handler (need the flexible hours). I applied at UPS some time ago and they immediately sent me an email to put me on a tour, but they never really called me back (and I was persistent). Now with Fedex, it says there are job openings in my area but every time I've applied for them it seems like my application just goes into a black hole. Does anyone know how I can find someone to contact about this?

1. I don't know but networking might help. Find someone that works for them and ask them some questions. ASk them first if theyy woudl mind helping you find out more about the company and how to get hired.
2. try FedEx Ground, and it would be beneficial if you knew someone already working to hand in your resume to the manager, good luck
