Ok i was wrong in hitting my girl but what does my job have to do with it......They said that it was job related and they are afraid i might do it to someone at the company which is bull......I have never had a problem with anybody there or had any record or warning letter of me doing such a thing....so was i wrongfully fired.....can I get a lawyer?????

  1. UHHH YEA I THINK THEY HAD NO REASON AT ALL TO FIRE YOUU MAYBEE YOU SHOULD GET A LAWYER:] GUd LUCK!
  2. it depends usually big companies will say that if the charge for domestic assult was a higher charge then a class b misdemeaner they needed to fire you due to the type of charge but i would say tald to a lawyer they will know what you can do also call unemployment and file on them and talk to the eeoc. no matter what they do it does good to report them and soon they will have to change there practices/
  3. No, because unfortunately companies have policies that protect them from such things. Think about it, if you owned a business, would you want to risk hiring people with violent personalities? Don't lie, if you're hitting your wife, you obviously have anger issues. I'd start looking for other employment if I were you. Oh yeah, and next time DON'T TELL YOUR EMPLOYER ABOUT IT.
  4. You could probably successfully argue the unemployment issue through the appeal process at the Unemployment Office. I doubt that you could win a court dispute over the firing with Fed Ex because I 'll bet that you signed a paper agreeing to At-Will employment. That means that your job was available At-Will, or that it doesn't exist anymore if they don't want to continue your position, or if you don't want to continue in it.
  5. I would talk to a lawyer about that and see what he says. I don't see where it is job related.
