Why is my USPS tracking code number not working?
I got the number and it says it's not available. Has this happened to anyone. Please help. Thanks

- Has it been 24 hours? Give it some time. They are slow compared to UPS and Fedex.
- If the package has been shipped by a large shipper. The actual tracking number may not have been scanned into the USPS system until the package hits the center tonight. Try back tomorrow.
- I wouldn't worry too much about it. That has happened to me several times (a few times the package arrived before the tracking number even 'appeared' on the net tracking site). Snow, sleet, rain, or gloom of night may not stop the USPS, but some schmuck may delay the tracking via the net.
- Not every number issued by USPS is a "tracking" number, and not all numbers are viewable online at usps.com. The only numbers viewable at usps.com, bu the public, are those for Delivery Confirmation(not a tracking service), Signature Confirmation(not a tracking service), or Express Mail(a tracking service), for Domestic Mail. Customs Labels that start with a "C" for International Mail also offer tracking to major destinations, as well as International Express Mail. If you have a Certified or Insured number, you can not track or view any delivery info online. Only your PO can see that information.
