Postal Letter

The Saudi Post?

Ok someone mailed me something with USPS (United States Postal Service) thats the governmental shipping company in hte US. After it reaches Saudi the package will go to the Saudi Post where it should be picked up from. However in order for me to pick it up from there they say that I need a tracking number for it and the people who sent it say that they were not given a tracking number and the Saudi post will not find it by my name. Does anyone know how I can recieve my package or should I just call the embassy?

  1. I haven't dealt directly with the Saudi post, but I have shipped packages from the US through USPS to my husband. He received everything I sent him, but he didn't deal directly with the Saudi Post either. I shipped it to a business address. The USPS does NOT track any packages to Saudi Arabia. Also, I don't think you can even buy insurance on packages shipped to KSA. I've heard from other Americans living here, that it's like 50-50 whether or not you'll get your package. I don't know how you can get your package...maybe keep trying until you get someone who's nice enough to help you by looking for it.
  2. Call the embassy cause the stupid workers there need a slap on the face from time to time I am Saudi and I know it cause if it was a Saudi person he would have never been able to get and had no where to complain but u on the other hand have ur embassy to complain so I employ u to call the embassy and file an official complaint.
  3. Call DHL give me your info and i will search for you in our sys. some time it come through dhl. you can call me on 800 345 0000 Dakhil AlDossary
  4. lesson learned.. unless they sent it registered or certified mail.. you are up the creek on this one.. I can remember before trying to send packages through the normal us postal service to Saudi and it would get lost.. I sent a package once to my husband in Saudi while I was in USA and it never made it.. then low and behold a year later.. when I was back in Saudi.. We finally got the package a whole year later.. and it was torn, worn, opened, pilfered through, and retaped... its far better to use a shipping company like UPS, American Express, or DHL (SNAS here)
