- Does *what* make sense, exactly? I don't understand what your question is. All you've posted is links to salary ranges and something about getting a PhD with only a bachelor's degree. And then your question is about letter carriers? EDIT -- OK, I just looked at your question again and I think I see what's going on. You think "mailman" in a job search means someone who delivers the mail. That's not the case. Click on the word "mailman" there in the link you gave and you'll see they're actually searching for jobs that have the word "mailman" in them -- which means many of the hits you get are for Unix admins who use the "Mailman" version of Unix. You're also getting a lot of hits for executive positions at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia. If you were actually trying to find the average salary for letter carriers, I'd suggest you search for "letter carrier" or maybe "post office".
